Kid’s Club is the Children’s Ministries programme for Island ECC. It includes all programmes for 0 through 10 year olds, whether they are on Sunday mornings or during the rest of the week.
Kid’s Club offers two different full programmes for all 3 to 10 year olds at services on Sunday morning. That means that apart from the Nursery (ages 0-2), every child can experience two different lessons and activities. We offer this so that the whole family can stay for both the 9:30 and 11:15 services without having to do the same thing twice and run the risk of boredom or burnout. It means parents can volunteer or go to an adult class in one service and attend the main worship service in the other service. Youth who volunteer or attend with you can attend the Transformers programme at 9:30 and then the main service at 11:15.
At 9:30 and 11:15 Nursery offers a lesson using the Faithweaver curriculum.
At both 9:30 and 11:15 the 3-8 year olds will begin in Kid’s Worship, praising God through singing songs that kids enjoy.
The 9 and 10 year olds will usually go to the adult service to designated rows to stay for the singing part of worship before going to classroom. Occasionally due to venue issues this group will go straight to their classroom.
At 9:30 the 3 and 4 year olds experience God through “In The Beginning”. A Bible based lesson tailor made for these busy and curious ones.
The 5 to 8 year olds will enjoy the Large Group / Small Group experience from Promiseland, Willow Creek’s children’s programme.
The 9 and 10 year olds will go to Grapple, a programme designed to stretch these kids caught between being kids and preteens. They will be challenged with topics and styles that aren’t for “kids” but still be safely handled by the volunteers as not ready yet to be called “youth”. They will also have the opportunity to interact with the class and teachers in a secure online format built for just our kids.
At 11:15 the 3 through 8 year olds will go through the lessons of the much liked and tested Faithweaver curriculum. The 9 and 10 year olds have the Precepts for Kids to look forward to. This curriculum gets them deep into the Word but in a fun and engaging way.

It is our desire at Kid’s Club that every child who comes to Island ECC will have a fun and meaningful experience, learning about God, how to enter a relationship with Him and how to live in a way that pleases Him. The kids’ activities include age-appropriate worship, crafts and Bible lessons and discussions.
We view children not only as the future, but as a significant part of the church right now. Our goal is to raise passionate followers of Christ, so we believe our children are worth all the time and energy we can invest in them.
